In our ISO Quality Management System, one of the things that we track and review constantly is our customer paperwork accuracy. Paperwork errors can sometimes seem small at the time, but multiple errors can quickly add up to a significant amount of wasted time for both the customer and the supplier.

Not only do we strive to exceed our customers’ expectations on the quality of parts that we provide to our customers, we also strive for accuracy throughout the entire process. Whether it be paperwork or packaging we are dedicated to achieving excellence in each and every job that we do.

Laser micro welding is used for welding very small components through the use of laser light. The light is used to rapidly melt and fuse the target metals together. This is an important process because it creates a precise and strong bond between the parts. The medical, electronic and automotive industries frequently use this process for joining their small components together.

Micro welding is a cost-effective process that can often save time and money in comparison to Metal Laser Sintering or other methods of machining a complex part in its entirety. Making individual parts or micro-sized components that are easy to machine and control and then welding them into a final assembly is often the best solution from a quality, time and cost savings perspective.

Below we have provided comparison photos of a micro-welded medical part where the customer was unhappy with the quality and lead time of their previous supplier. We were able to provide them a much stronger weld that had a smoother finish. We were also able to complete a large order for them in less than half of the time that their previous supplier was projecting.

Our ISO 7 certified Class 10,000 cleanroom minimizes airborne and surface particulates and allows us to process parts that require high purity and a controlled environment. In this special environment, we are able to process a wide variety of parts such as surgical tools and implants, while keeping them free from contamination.

Our cleanroom requires special gowning from hairnets to shoe covers that help keep the airborne particles to a minimum. The use of nylon lint-free wipes for cleaning all surface areas as well as tacky rollers for the floors, walls and ceiling help to keep the room impeccably clean. We also use tested and proven cleaners and detergents to ensure the cleanliness of our cleanroom environment.

At Laser Dynamics, we keep a highly maintained and vigorous cleaning schedule to ensure that our facility is 100% compliant with all regulations and good medical manufacturing practices. We complete our scheduled air quality checks on a regular basis with equipment that is calibrated and up to date.

These parts have features that are so small, they can only be viewed under high magnification. The size of these features makes them impossible to manufacture with traditional mechanical machining methods. Typically, parts are machined from flat stock, tubing, solid rods or other readily available material forms.
